Mumbai Seat sharing formula for Lok Sabha in Maharashtra will be discussed in New Delhi between Congress and NCP leaders.

The meeting, to be held in the capital, will be between Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel on the NCp side and senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel. There is also a possibility that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar may also attend the meeting on Friday.

In 2004, Congress has contested 27 out of 48 seats in the state, while NCP had contested in 21 seats. Now the NCP is demanding 24 seats.

The Congress-NCP state leaders have reached consensus on 40 seats, but there is dispute on the remaining seats viz., South Mumbai, Kalyan, Yavatmal and Jalgaon.
