Ludhiana, March 7 All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesman Manish Tewari today came out in support of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) pensioners, who are struggling to get their pensions released from university.

Strongly condemning the state government for overlooking the plight of the PAU pensioners, Tewari rued that it was extremely unfortunate that about 2,500 pensioners of the university had not received their pensioners since December, 2007.

Tewari also said that he was peeved to learn that university pensioners were running from pillar to post to ensure timely release of pensions, but to no avail. AICC spokesman demanded that Punjab government should immediately sort out the issue and pension should be released forthwith.
