A zonal medical check up camp for the Pune police has revealed shocking results. Out of the 250 police staff that attended the camp, as many as 125 were found to be suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. The half-day camp was organised at K K Bhavan in Yerwada on Friday morning. A team of medical experts from Ruby Hall Clinic conducted the medical tests blood pressure, body-mass index (BMI) and ECG check up. “Policemen of the rank of constables to assistant commissioners participated in the camp. Those suffering from medical problems have been advised for further treatments,” said Deputy commissioner of police (Zone IV) Jailinder Supekar. “The camp was inaugurated by police commissioner Satyapal Singh. He gave a speech on morning exercises and diet,” Supekar said. Dr Hansa Kotak of Ruby Hall clinic was inchrage of the camp.
