Right to recall. by Satisha on 07 Nov 2009

Right to recall. Amend in the constitution to recall the elected leaders / electees by the voters or electors. Every year there should be a review voting in each constituency for a period of one week, for the people, to give their opinion and views on the satisfaction of the performance by their elected representatives, whether they are satisfied, not satisfied, need to improve and give time or recall immediately. Then only all such problems in our political system will not happen. Corruption based review must be included including bureaucrats. Dictating and becoming powerful to take people for granted by politicians and bureaucrats will stop with this.

Save us. by Satva on 07 Nov 2009

The political blackmail & taking the people of Karnataka for ransom by the so called elected leaders has tarnished whole system in India. People will never ever believe in politicians anymore and they are waste and national burden as they are slow poison to this country and people. Do they have any manners? They could have settled their differences within the party circle without dogfighting publicly. What a shame! Believe me, we don't need politicians. Need to ban all parties and change the system. Millions are dying, but politicians are playing games as if nothing is happening. Are they demons? Let them search their soul & conscience. Looting this country apart, they engage in playing politics as if they are not elected to represent the people. We are fools. Our hearts bleed. They are suicidal lots in this country. Publish all these messages in Newspapers and TVs.

CM should go by khan on 07 Nov 2009

The CM is a CM for the state and hence he should work for the betterment of all the people in the state. But he did not do anything like that instead he showed bias towards his own party people RIGHT FROM DAY ONE. He does not deserve to be a CM anymore. HE SHOULD GO. Let real people get elected and serve the state and the country properly ethically professionally.

Reddy (Thug) Brothers by Ram on 07 Nov 2009

Yeddy is one of the most polite and productive CM's we have had in Karnataka. The Reddy thugs are some of the most money drunk corrupt exploiters of the state who have ruined what was previously an innocent and historic part of our state - Bellary area. Shame on those who support the Reddy thugs who seem to get their orders from Hyderabad.

Reddys by N G Varadan on 06 Nov 2009

The Reddys are trojan horse in Karnataka BJP. BJP should throw them out. Sit as a strong opposition. Expose Reddys and firm up themselves. A sacrifice now will be a booster later.

Karnataka apathy. by Sandeep Siddappa on 06 Nov 2009

Firstly is there is no clarity as to why Reddy brothers want a change in system! Should democracy be compromised to goons having self interest and a nation party as BJP not showing doors to Reddy brothers who have vested interest in Karnataka for mining and other activity? Is money, power the only means to stand tall in politics and get things done! It’s an unnerving apathy to a state which is foremost in GDP contribution and still facing impediments as favorable investment destination added to the unstoppable perennial political drama. The so called oligarchs ruling the society can never deliver and address basic issues of common man, so it' in the best interest to educate the common to eschew them, for ever the clear mandate of any politician entering politics is for their vested interest and not in the direction of rational thinking. Karnataka definitely needs better leaders and able administrators who can work cohesively and pitchfork the state to glory.

Purchase all MLAs by Dr B Sundara on 06 Nov 2009

If some one has enough money, perhaps all the BJP MLAs can be purchased and the one purchases them can rule the state.

Yeddyurappa should rather resign by Ramanathan AV on 06 Nov 2009

Yeddyurappa is twice unlucky. Janata Dal Secular Kumarasamy, son of Deva Gowda, stabbed him at the back in the first instance. Now Reddy brothers red with anger are after his blood. Every body knows the money, muscle power of the Sandur-Thoranagallu iron belt's money and musle clout. That the Reddys can swipe at the BJP High Command which is powerless, toothless, and directionless, speaks volumes that discipline has deserted the saffron party. Vajpayee built an edifice of the BJP; L K Advani, though essentially a good person, sqandered off the little goodwill by hating the lovable Manmohan. The crisis precipated by BJP in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha did not bode well with the people of India. BJP took pride in annexing Karnataka on their own. But, these knee jeek and clumsy adamant power brokers have played spoiled spot. Where are L K Advani,Rajnat, second rung Jaitley, Shorie, Sushma,Muralimanohar Joshi, and others? Yeddyurappa should not succumb; but resign gracefully.

was expected by harun on 06 Nov 2009

The whole episode was expected what if you have two brothers who control huge resources.Whats most striking is that the central leadership has been helpless in handling the crisis. Its the people who have to suffer.Who cares about them.I thought the BJP would have selected CANDIDATES with the interests of the people as MLAs.Why blame the others.Sad to watch them holidaying in Resorts ,Yed is more concerned about his chair rather than helping the flood victims. All this for a party with a difference. What difference. We have a CM who created history using the chopper the most for 84 lakhs.Dont see it having had any effect on the administration.Whatever it was YEDDY who built the party from scratch in Karnataka. To have him face this day is a reflection of the cadre in the BJP.Lets see what the end is,Sure all the BJP leaders will call it normal and not a crisis created for money but for addressing peoples problems.

The crisis will be a prolonged one by Vivek on 06 Nov 2009

The crisis is not going to end anytime soon. It is a war of nerves going on between the Yeduriappa and Reddys and it is a question of who is going to blink first. The Reddys knows that Yeduriappa given his losing position at the moment in terms of MLAs support may lie low for the moment by giving in to the Reddy Brothers only to strike later. Therefore, in their own interest, they will not allow him to continue. On the other hand, Yeduriappa is not inclined to leave his chair and is counting time to tire out the Reddys. All in all, the people of Karnataka are in a long spell of instability.

KarnatakaVS MMS by Sam on 06 Nov 2009

The very people who support MMS accomadating Karunaidhi shennigans or the left Shennigansin the previous Lok Sabha are critizing BJP. How come MMS we didnt have the same media line when MMS had to compromise with Allies

WHAT IS THE RELEVANCE by Prakash on 06 Nov 2009

First, as regards the Left, they are far better than the Congress and BJP with no corruption charges against them. Their leaders are simple and austere. They have these qualities which need to be appreciated and which is absent in most of the parties today in this Country. Secondly, Vajpayee's NDA did accommodate Karunanadhi Shennigans, Jayalalitha, Paswan, Pappu Yadav and also JMM. That too aligning with those parties which follow psuedo-secularism. The Congress atleast can say they are aligning for the sake of secularism. The bottomline is you need allies to win elections and get to power - no matter which party it is. Thirdly, you are confusing two different topics. One is about courting allies and the other is trouble within a party. Both are broadly different.

Leftist -No corruption? by shanthanu on 06 Nov 2009

You should read the stroty of P.Vijayan of Kerala before making such comments.

AT Prakash by SAM on 06 Nov 2009

First, this Janardjhan Reddy joined BJP very recently. He is the first cousin of Late YSR of NAdhra Pradesh and is close business connections to JaganMohan Reddy of Congress. So he will obviously cause trouble. Pinnaryi Vijayan etc, there are numerous corruption and criminal charges against leftist leaders, only thing it is not highlighted by a leftist media. Both can be compared as in both cases people are fighting for the chair. As far a secularism is concerned it is in the eye of the beholder. With MIM and IUML as allies a party cannot be secular

To Prakash by Indian on 06 Nov 2009

First, left has never been voted to power like congress to say they are corruption less party.Second BJP had to accomodate allies as they were never given majority with in turn back fired them by opening doors of corruption unlike congress who are being voted in majority year after year irrespective of misrule over decades

reddys by Bengali In Bangalore on 06 Nov 2009

Jagan Reddy and these Reddys are business partners. They understand only business. And, in business, trample the weak. If these Reddy's come to power, be sure that poor of Karnataka are going to suffer much more.

YEDDI, REDDY AND CHEDDI by Shivkumar on 06 Nov 2009

What a combination to sell, pledge mortigage Karnataka? Yeddi wants power at any cost, Reddys want to annex Karnataka to aP, thereby loot all and sundry natural resources, and amass another thousands of crores, and the Cheddys want to be mute spectator for this politics. When the whole of Karnataka is under floods, these senseless politicians want their power, money etc., first, leaving the whole state to anarchy. It is time to teach all these politicians a proper lessons by calling back. Let all right thinking people wake up now, and throw this governement immeidately.

Urgent message for Loh Purush by Kes on 06 Nov 2009

Dear Loh Purush: As usual, you are missing during a crisis, leaving your cronies such as Silly-Purush (Rajnath), Backoffice-Purush (Jaitley) and Quasi-Purush (Sushma Swaraj) to deal with the mess. When are you going to act like a real leader?

very sad state of affairs by venkatakrishnan on 06 Nov 2009

few MLAs are holding the state to ransom and enjoying the luxury resorts . Politicians like reddy brothers should be shown the doors .to further their busineas interests their demands are unresonable. all the politicinns of karnataka have put us in shame .The BJP high command should not relent at all evenif losing power let them show the rebels the door and people will certainly aprrecite this. let them rebuild the party without any of these elements .let them follow gujarat model

BJP should resign from the Government of karnataka by JNS on 06 Nov 2009

Reddy's should not be allowed to hijack a superb government. BJP must take the call and call it quits. This opposition sponsered rebellion must be put down in the manner it is required. The Reddy's are related to Jagan Reddy from Hyderabad and it does not require a genius to realize on who is behind these happenings. The People of Karnataka must back BSY solidly to remove the un wanted elements from the BJP.

You have a pretty good sense of humour by Giridhar on 06 Nov 2009

A Super Government. Ha Ha Ha. I cannot control my laughter.

Hey Sanghi have you left behind your brain by R Sundar on 06 Nov 2009

Misleading as ever like a true Sanghi. This is not opposition sponsored rebellion. This is rebellion within the BJP and of its own making. They used Reddys to win elections, lure MLAs and independents and used their money power to the hilt. Now the Reddys are demanding their pound of flesh and although Yeddy has appeased them much, yet there are limitations to the extent to which he can go considering the limitations of governance. Having realized that Yeddy is not playing to their game, they are now extracting their pound of flesh and when this is the background, here you are as a true Sanghi who has no brains is blaming the Congress once again.

Compromise formula by Madhu on 06 Nov 2009

How long can the so called "truce" last ? How can any self-respecting CM agree to run a government with a "co-ordination commitee" etc.,? Can a self-respecting CM allow to be dictated to on who should be on his team and who should run which ministry etc.,? This kind of moves / strategy reflects lack of faith on the ability of the person concerned to run the administration. Is it not better for the person to step down from his position instead of clinging / hanging on to it ?

DON'T EXPECT THAT by R Sundar on 06 Nov 2009

If you think that Yeddy is made of such sterner stuff or a man with shame, I am sorry, you are mistaken. He will not resign. Afterall, he takes the lead from his mentors in Delhi namely Advani. He will fall at the feet of Reddys to save his chair. Afterall he did everything that the Reddys wanted, however Reddys had higher ambitions to capture the State itself and this has jolted Yeddy.

Shameless trash by Alladin on 06 Nov 2009

Sunder, you are a Muslim agent using Hindu name. All your postings are anti-Hindu, pro-corrupt Congress and anti-BJP. Is this what your Koran teaches you. Shame on you and your ilk who use pseudo names.

Who is shameless by R Sundar on 06 Nov 2009

I know the Sanghi trait to label anyone who speaks against the RSS or VHP or BJP as a Muslim. Here, you are using a Muslim name after levelling a charge against me as a Muslim agent and using psuedo name. That tells you something. I did not know that speaking against the misdeeds of the BJP/RSS or VHP is anti-Hindu. Do you want me or anyone to glorify Yeddy and his party for all that has happened in Karnataka ? Only blind supporters like you can do that. Not us. Shame on you and all those chaddiwallahs who glorify the BJP and RSS even after all their misdeeds have come out in the open. Anyway, the BJP is dead and the funeral is ready for you to join in peace.

Yeddy will fight back ... by A Bengali In Bangalore on 06 Nov 2009

Yeddy is being prudent. He has to bend backward to accomodate. But, Reddys also knows that Yeddy is waiting to bite back whenever he gets a chance. One who blinks first is going to loose. Period.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE DESERVE THIS by Kishore on 06 Nov 2009

For voting this BJP to power in Karnataka, the people of the State deserve this and much more. This episode has exposed the true face of this Party to everyone in the Country and even to its core supporters who were just singing its virtues and blaming the people for rejecting it time and again. Alas, it appears that the people of this Country have made a very good decision not to bring back BJP.

People deserve BJP at centre by Shallabh on 06 Nov 2009

BJP is doing great work in Karnataka. Roads, flood relief and all. The reddy brothers are taking it to this scene. Yeddy is a hard working man. Don't mis guide the people.

BJP IS NOT FIT FOR THE STATE LEAVE ALONE THE CENTRE by Kishore on 06 Nov 2009

What good work they are doing for flood relief etc. Their MLAs and Ministers who are supposed to be with the people in this time of distressing are staying in luxurious five star Hotels of Delhi. The CM who is supposed to oversee the relief operations is camping in Delhi to retain his chair although he does not have the majority support of his MLAs, he is not prepared to leave his chair and here you are telling me not to misguide. Who is misguiding, you or I ??

When did he go to Delhi by Shallabh on 06 Nov 2009

Brother, when did he go? He had gone for a day. He is doing work for people of Karnataka. Just look onto the areas he has covered and work he has done. He has inaugrated 250- village reconstruction plan and mysore development projects. Just look at the newspapers, the front page is always anti-BJP see the inner side you'll find Reddy criss crossing Karnataka taking the officials to task. If you hate BJP than thats another matter.

Follow Gujrath Case: BSY should not step down by Swanand on 06 Nov 2009

BJP should sternly act against te dissidents. They should make the same moves as they did in Gujarath. Some illegal activity doers who were suffering from Modi's clean rule were rebelling against him claiming him to be an arrogant. But BJP trusted Modi and now those people are nowhere in political scene. People support always a strong determined leader. All those who rebel for money are rejected like Narayan Rane, Waghela ec.

Don't be in a hurry by Gurudatt Prabhu on 06 Nov 2009

Dear CM,to protect your chair, you seems to be in urgency and throwing offers one sided.Reddy's are watching your move and holding it tight so that they can extract more and more.Stick to your guns and be firm, but correct your mistakes. If majority of MLA's feel that your way of functioning is wrong, you have to correct those.Mind you, just because the election was fought under your leadership, doesn't give you supper power to act at your will. You need to control yourself and also your collegues.Managing power is an art and you have to learn it fast if you have retain your chair.Visiting temples and Mutts will not give you this qualities.Set right the things and try to earn good name in the books of Karnataka People and you know that it will go into the record and people will remember you in the future too..I call on the people of Karnataka to come out and start protest against Reddy's and we should know how much they have looted of Mining for which we don't have track at all..

Yeddy V/s Reddy by S.H.Katti on 06 Nov 2009

Our so called beloved CM has done great to Karnataka by being CM and thinking of his people. Opps! Not Karnataka people but his people. Our some of the great thinkers in Karnataka also supported him only for the sake of BJP govt. in South. Moreover one of the main caste in Karnataka i.e.Lingayat were very happy coz their man has come to power after long time. Today they all are in shame and feel Congress is better than anybody. It is the general feeling in Karnataka now coz Congress cannot do such things as their style is different. Its really shame on Yeddy's part to remain in power and for only sake of power he is ready to split the party. This is the tredition of BJP which they have shown in Centre also. Except Sri Vajapai nobody is there and it has no future. Hence RSS should think of supporting Congress with little broad mind and can make Congress more strong.

Well said-SH Katti by Sridhar on 06 Nov 2009

Well said Mr.Katti. Like many people I also feel dejected by BJP's behaviour. They have forgotten what Swamiji ( Swami Vivekananda ) said: Learn to be a good follower first before aspiring to be a leader!
