Kolkata, June 10 The police are yet to find any clue about the alleged murder of an elderly couple in Golabari, Howrah on Monday. Ramaprasad Verma and his wife Sunita were found dead inside their apartment on Kings Road. Their throats were tied with a nylon rope, which prompted the police to initiate a case of murder. According to the postmortem report, the couple had taken food nearly an hour before they were killed. Though the murders took place in Saturday afternoon, the bodies did not decompose even after more than 48 hours. Police said that an air-conditioner was running in the bedroom where the bodies were found, which prevented decay. The report also suggested that three or more persons were involved in the crime, though robbery does not seem to be the motive.
