Sources close to Broad said the match referee had got inquiries from England and Wales Cricket Board and others nations about the ground situation in Pakistan.

"I think with the ICC Executive Board due to meet in Perth later this month some boards, whose teams will take part in the Champions Trophy, are collecting some feedback about the situation in Pakistan," one source said.

The source added that Broad had already conveyed to the ECB that he was comfortable with the security and other arrangements for the ongoing series.

Pakistan is due to host the prestigious Champions Trophy in September after it was postponed last year due to security and safety concerns raised by some participating teams.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has said it wants the International Cricket Council to take into consideration the security arrangements of the on-going Sri Lanka series while discussing the organisation of the Champions Trophy in Pakistan after India cancelled its tour last month which was supposed to be the yardstick for judging the security plans for the biennial event.

Some security experts are also touring with the Sri Lankan team to take a ground assessment of the situation and the PCB has left no stone unturned to show all concerned parties that it is safe to play cricket in Pakistan.
