Without taking Gandhi's name, the BSP chief in her autobiography Mere Sangharshmay Jeevan Evam BPS Movement Ka Safarnama (Volume 3) has said unlike those women ‘who have inherited political legacy’, she has been a crusader of a pioneering revolution for social change.
In an almost self praising tone, she has said there are very few instances in international history, where women belonging to a socially backward strata of society have taken up the mantle of leading a social revolution.
Citing the example of her inclusion in Newsweek's global list of top eight women, Mayawati said it is very rarely that people belonging to the lower strata of society have been eulogised.
I feel shame that Mayawati is leading state in which I was born. Yes she is bigger leader than Sonia , even it can be said Sonia stands no where in comparison to Mayawati because today Mayawati represents a leader for which leaders are known are know among masses ie wasting public money and lying.If Maya has talked about she being first from a class to attain such position then let me point pout that Sonia is first person , not only women, in the world who had been accepted as leader in a foreign country. This despite the opposition made her foreign origin issue. For her vote came in from all sections in Indian society, not just from dalits.

Ms.Mayavati is correct and should be appreciated for her perserverance and guts to stand alone and fight for the cause she belived in.There is few indian women she can be compared with and offcource Sonia is no match for her, not to mention Sonias dubious and controversial past.

Mayawati is a mass leader in U.P. But creating a conglomerate of caste vote banks is different from good governance.She fails in the latter. So her popularity will not be enduring.
I support Maya on this account. She has accomplished much more than her idol Ambedkar, Babu Jagjivan Ram or smaller names, such as Paswan, and also her mentor Kansi Ram. Mrs Sonia Gandhi is no comparison. Let Sonia Gandhi come out of Congress and see if she can prove to be a mass leader. Maya has already proven.
Mayawati is behaving as if she became CM for rest of her life.In India every CM has to leave the post every couple of years and sit in opposition before coming back to CM chair again,it's a political cycle.It's a matter of a few months before popularity cloud move towards opposition.She better stop thinking about becoming PM an dconcentrate on state issues before she is removed from the chair

Indeed, Ms. Mayawati has changed the politcal contours on political horiozons. She is doing opnely what othe leadrs have done under the name of institutions ( read diffreent gove funded ngos and their chairmans, Ms. Soniya Gandhi is the "tallest" amonst them). May be India needs few more "mayawaties" before people get empowered and throw the rascals out for good. It has to get worst before it can get better. No doubt about that. Maya earned her power and position she enjoys today, unlike Sonia who was manufactured leader by the spineless Congress leaders and Nehru-Gandhi sycophants.
An interesting comparison. To me both are evils to Indian society. Sonia is not acceptable at any cost. She has no qualification to run country. She is serviving only due to spineless, coward, and selfish hindus who want to make money for themself. Mayawati is also no saint. She and her family made crores of rupees in the name of empowering Dalits. India's so called Dalits are biggest fool because they can't see how this lady has collected huge wealth for herself and her family but what they got in return. However, If I have to choose between these two, Mayawati still has my vote. She is a genuine Indian.

We need many more Mayavatis and Modis in Bharat, and I am sure there will be more soon.
What is wrong with Maya's statement? She is correct to the core. Imagine, Sonia and her braindead children without the dynasty tag. They would have been consigned to the dustbin decades back. The tag and spineless Congress pigs keep Sonia in the political arena.
