Rahul as Post- Man by Gope Lalwani on 11 Jan 2009

There is possibility of “Revolt” in congress after 2009 elections. At present congress men who will fight for Loksabha elections know very well that they will win on their own strength and definitely Maa-Beta is not going to be winning factor for them. So may be the Congressmen who will win the election may not be interested again to be dictated by spineless team of maa-beta Dynasty.

Day not far when Rahul becomes PM by N.K.Jha on 09 Jan 2009

The coming Of Rahul Gandhi is the best thing that can happen to this country which is a multi-ethnic,multi-lingual,multi-caste and multi-religious society with a huge minority quotient. We have had enough of Machiavellian politics under the present PM.Empirically, the BJP is also acceptable to a substantial section of so- called minorities and the regional parties. Our " democratic society" sorely needs the adhesive force of Nehru-Gandhi name for some more time and Pranob has rightly drawn the political perspective.

Lesson In Indian History by Anil Kohli on 09 Jan 2009

You have right to your opinion.Gratitude and slavery are very different. It was his Great grandfather who went to Jail.It was his grand mother who gave us emergency, It was his father who gave us Bofors It was his father who said when a big tree fall the earth is bound to shake they killed 3000 innocent sikhs in Delhi alone Please do not talk of the sacrifice. Their sacrifices were incidental. By your logic each and every widow of the soldier who has died for this country and every orphan of that soldier has the right to become the PM of this country because those men gave the supreme sacrifice knowing fully well that the uniform that they wear means certain death and not power, pelf or luxury of big cars and bungalows.Do you think it time for this nation to pay him his dues. Then it is also time that he must pay for the crimes of his earlier generations.

Does 'young' mean intelligent by Vaz on 09 Jan 2009

It seems that the congress is interested only in breaking "Age" record, by wanting Rahul to be the 'youngest' PM. His incapability, inability, and lack of skill in leading the country as the PM means nothing to Pranab and other congress croonies. God save this country! Can you please make my 5-year old niece the PM, please Mr. Pranab. That would really shatter the world record.

Rahul as PM by V K Das on 09 Jan 2009

This is dynastic sycophancy at its best.

Day not far when Rahul becomes PM: Pranab by meher on 09 Jan 2009

How long this rule(or slavery) 0f congress party will continue? Our present politicians in Congress party are gutless incapable, useless psychophants. They cannot think any thing outside the box called congress. They will learn only when they are booted out by the people and the day is not far off.

PM Rahul!!! by Hero Vaz on 09 Jan 2009

Pranab's statement makes it clear that, in the Congress Party, there is a bankruptcy of leadership. If the Congress Party contests the coming General Elections under the "leadership" of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, the Party can expect its worst performance ever.

What a sorry state? by Srini on 09 Jan 2009

If we can find leaders in just one family, why do we call it democracy? It's an insult to the intelligence of the voters of the great country. While I have nothing against Rahul, I would like NOT to see Rahul as PM just for the sake of not making it a family rule. He has to earn it, not just get it..

PM POST by INDIAN on 09 Jan 2009

GANDHI DOES ONT HAVE GANDHI TOPPI AND DHOTI'S AND KURTA'S. SO HE IS DISQUALIFIED. I WANT AMITAB BACHAN TO BE THE PM. AND SUNJAY DUTT TO BE THE VICE PM. JAI HIND

Dynasty by Amused on 09 Jan 2009

If it is so, Congress must make sure that Rahul gets married before being Indian PM. And he should produce offspring within a year or else India would be like rudderless ship in the Bay of Bengal during monsoon in the future. Looks like this is the only way to make sure of India's future. Long Live Nehru-Gandhi dynasty!!!

Rahul Gandhi PM by Anjana on 09 Jan 2009

It is so unfortunate. I thought Surname culture is diminishing in India, after ruling of Manmohan Singh of five years. Mr Mukherjee, at this juncture when India only has started to make a little bit of progress after sixty years, we need an experienced PM like Mr Singh or even you. Please don't betray us.

Sycophancy Amev Jayte by Rohit Singh on 09 Jan 2009

Paranb Mukherjee, country is ashamed of politicians like you who stoops so low! What are you trying to tell NRIs? They shoild be ready for this new Maharaja? You have made India a joke. Anyone who is Gandhi/Nehru family member is the Prime Minister of India by default? Rahul, may be good looking when compared with likes of Parnab Mukhrjee but with less brains and education that of even Lalu Yadav. Shame!

Rahul the rapist for PM??? by Raj on 08 Jan 2009

How can a gang rapist, a criminal ever become Prime Minister? Or is that a new qualification required for the post. Pranab needs to rethink his statements.

Rahul _ PM by sivasubrahmaniam on 08 Jan 2009

People need not so hurry to make Rahul as PM now it self who is still young.. His mother Sonia Gandhi who has united the party after the PV Narasimha rAo govt fall, is still at the helm of the party. Let her lead the team with Manmohan Singh for some more time, unite the nation by her leadership and develop the nation at Manmohan vision. DO NOT DISTRUB THIS DUE which is highly required at this juncture. let jounior Gandhi develop a cohessive team with the other jounior politicians in the mean time to become the PM. It is my and the whole country`s wish

Buddy if you are speaking for the whole country, pls count me out.I am not for Raul Vinci.

Rahul Gandhi by V Joshi on 08 Jan 2009

Rahul gandhi is inexperienced to become Prime minister, Therefore Mr.Pranab Mukherjee's statement is not only irresponsible but childish. Moreover Indians do not need Nehru/Gandhi to lead the nation again. This family has done enough damage to the social, cultural and religious fabric of India. We should do away with this 'dynasty'once for ever.

Living in the past by romesh.sharma on 08 Jan 2009

Speaking so loud like this Parnab Mukherji is not doing any favour to RahulGandhi. He is inviting more antipathy for this Nehru/Gandhi/Khan/Miano clan.apart from this it may turn dangerous to this novice young man who is still foreigner to this Land and its culture and ofcourse politics.Parnab Mukherji is living in the past and shoudl know India and Indians have changed a lot.Nomore dynastic rule.

Enough is enough by Guru on 08 Jan 2009

democracy ???????????? by DEE on 08 Jan 2009

Gandhi family has made a joke of whole country. They are born without backbones. Someday they will join Russia (If the competitor Lal Bahadur Shastri) died there, some day(If all these corrupt ministers get the chance to earn money). Probably now Saudi Arabia (3 years as observer with Arab League to advocate for terrorist organization Hamas).. I am sure that they will apply Aurangjeb's shariyat rules to appeae minorities. Can't we think beyond this family.. What type of democracy is this??????????

Which inauspicious day was Pranab born? by Patriotic Indian on 08 Jan 2009

Atta boy!!! making sure his seat remains firm when the new gen of the family takes over the reins ? This is cheer the would be nero of India , he fiddled while rom,e burnt, our young hero was partying when the financial capital of the country was under attack by terrorists.
