Both Patel and Kodnani are accused in the Naroda Patia and Naroda village massacre cases, but presently are out on bail.
"As per the analysis of the call details from February 27 to March 4, 2002, Jaidip Patel had called CMO nine times, Kodnani had called up four times, Zadaphia had called up 13 times, additional CP of Ahmedabad had called up four times, a Deputy Commissioner R J Sawani had called up twice," advocate Mukul Sinha of the NGO 'Jan Sangarsh Manch' told reporters in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
The call records analysis is based on the CD submitted by IPS officer Rahul Sharma, who had prepared it when he was posted in the Ahmedabad police control room.
In an application filed by victims before SIT on this issue, they contended that the investigation officer of Naroda Patia case had not made proper analysis of the phone call records, which shows the accused police officials and some VHP leaders in constant touch with each other, Sinha said.
"We have demanded further investigations into these two massacre cases and the role of top police officials including the then Ahmedabad Police Commissioner P C Pande, Additional Police Commissioner M K Tandon, Deputy Commissioner of Police P B Gondiya and Police Inspector K K Mysorewala," he added.
On the analysis of the phone calls made on February 28, 2002 it was revealed that when the mob started gathering at Gulberg Society, both these officers Tandon and Gondia, moved aways from Gulberg society and gave a free hand to rioters, which killed over 70 people including former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, Sinha said.
"It appears that a phone call made by R J Sawani, a Deputy Commissioner, at 12:09 pm seem to have prompted Tandon to move away his striking force from Gulberg Society and further analysis of Sawani's phone calls reveal that he was in constant touch with Zadafia and Patel," Sinha said.
He added that a deeper probe by the SIT would reveal whether the purpose of all these calls.

Any investigation is to figure out the facts that took place during any incident. Gujarat government claims that it is not involved in any wrong activities during Gujarat riots. Then let the SIT make investigations, this is going help officials to prove their innocence. Why there is so much of hesitance and oppose against the probe? Let facts be revealed and people know the reality. This is the democratic way.
The report only says that those people called the CM's office during the riots. It does not give any transcripts of the calls, only just the number of times they called. Does simply saying that somebody called the CM's office without correct info about the contents of the phone calls make anybody guilty? How do you come to the conclusion that those calls were not made to request the CM's office to take action to contain and prevent spreading of the riots, without knowing the contents?
Isnt it funny that no one talks about Godhra but talk about the reaction????????? Isnt it politically motivated probe???????
Congress is never even handed when dealing with Muslims. Be it post Godhra riots or plight of Pandits from Kashmir. Congress is always appeasing Muslims and other minorities when in power. This unfair and unjust partiality causes resentment which drives the populace towards BJP. Congress has reduced so-called secularism to Hindu bashing. Congress seems to forget that India is secular not because of minorities but because the majority Hindus want it that way. Unfortunately, BJP is acting as B-team of Congress. Idealogy has been lost and its leaders are squabbling for their share of limelight. Hindus have no one to look up to!
on the 26/11 and related incidents, the Ram Pradhan panel report is considered as the Bible containing truth. No Political person is accused of any error at all in the report and the government is given a clean shit by the report. But the Nanavati commission report which probed Post-Godhra riot is not at all beleived by anyone and SIT is appointed to make further investigation. Look at Teesta in this photo and she looks like Phoolan Devi, the dacoit. Sonia and her UPA will be punished only by the Supreme Power for this absolute Double standard.
No one ever talked about the Godhra train burning incident and the Hindu Karsevaks burnt alive in the train. The media made the judgement without any fair trial and convicted (They are authorised by Ma'm Sonia) Modi as a culprit. I read in many news/blogs that 2000 Muslims are butchered by Modi. The actual number of people died in the Post-Godhra is never 2000 and it is a lie that all who have died are Muslims and there was a large proportion of Hindus who have died too. It is another fabricated lie that Modi's government did not take enough action. I am sure that truth will triumph one day or the other. All the news media and TV Channels are showing their joyous mood after defeating the BJP in the last elections, but they made India loose ultimately.
Modi should be punished because we hindus have no value for our life and the people burnt in that train,we have no compassion for them as they are hindus.But yes since muslims ruled us for 1000 years ,we definately need to show the respect and our obiedience to them.and we hindus will always do the same in future.So MODI should be punished.
