New Delhi, January 17 Thursday, January 17
Rajni starts her day with a trip to Amity International School, Saket, along with friend Bhavna who had to submit a registration form there for the admission of her child.

“We are all in the same boat. If we make these trips together, it lowers the stress levels.”

Back at her workplace, playschool Leap Years, she bumps into an anxious parent, Soma, who lives in Faridabad and works in Vasant Kunj.

“Soma’s stuck as she needs to find a school near her workplace so she can drop off and pick up her child, but she doesn’t fullfil the neighbourhood criteria.”

Soma is going to try her luck in the area anyway, and with Rajni’s help she fills out a form for Amity International.

On Friday morning, Rajni has another interaction at Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, this time for her younger son Anush.

Besides doing the running around for admissions, Rajni is also trying to prepare her children for their first day at school. “I show them the school vans, telling them this is how they will go to the ‘big school’. They are slowly getting used to the idea. I hope they will get a chance to start in April.”
