Mumbai It is an age-old tradition to fly kites with community members on the day of Makar Sankranti and Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar also spent his day doing the same.

The 89-year-old 'Karma' star said the tall buildings in his vicinity did not deter him from flying kites which he has gathered from different regions.

"The mushrooming of tall constructions aside; it is still good fun to send a kite in the air and let it soar and soar. Happy Sankranti.

"Kite flying has always excited and thrilled me. Have brought out my trunk of kites and manjas collected from different regions," Kumar posted on Twitter today.
