Melbourne Fans of Britney Spears stormed out of her Australian debut of The Circus concert in Perth after being disappointed with her performance.

Devotees, some of whom splashed up to 200 dollars to see the singer, purportedly began walking out after just three songs.

“It was just really bad. She has not spoken, there is no interaction,” News.com.au quoted Kathy Wright, 32, as saying.

Friend Josh Blee said: “We are really big Britney fans but it was cr-p. I thought after the music awards she would make up for it with a wicked concert, but she has let us down.”

The 27-year-old pop princess was also slammed for miming and “appalling” singing ability on stage as she performed before a 17,000 strong crowd.

Fans complained about their dissatisfaction with the giant screens that apparently displayed almost no vision of the star, who was said to have had her back to the audience for most of the show.

Some purportedly thought it was to cover up her lip synching.

You so called "fans" are pathetic by Samuel on 07 Nov 2009

For those of you who walked out on her, you are absolutely 100% pathetic sour losers. True fans of Britney's know that she lyp syncs, she has done since around 2003. I am going to see her in Brisbane, and I can not wait. I love her so much! Man Britney could just stand on stage in front of me, and I would be happy. People need to realise that Britney is a performer, not a singer. I repeat, a performer, not a singer! It's not like you complain when Kelly Clarkson is singing, that she isnt dancing! Get over it. Britney is a superstar, the queen of pop!!!

Bad Information by Brandon on 07 Nov 2009

It's a completely failed argument that she had her back to the audience most of the time. The concert is in the round, meaning it's a circle stage that sits in the middle of the arena. No matter where she is on the stage her back is always to one side of the audience.

she did good by jacqueline on 07 Nov 2009

get over it you all know she did good
