After numerous bouts of chemotherapy, which cruelly saw her hair fall out, the former Big Brother star was hoping for some good news.
However, doctors have told her that tumours had been found in her liver, bowel and groin.
They have scrapped their previous estimate that she had a 40 per cent chance of survival - and have begun treating the mum-of-two to prolong her life as long as possible rather than pursue a cure.
"I am devastated. I am frightened and I am angry. I don't want to die because I have so much to live for," the ‘Sun’ quoted her, as saying.
"The reality is I have gone from a 40 per cent chance of a cure to seeing how long I can stay alive.
"The whole thing is absolutely terrifying. To try and remain positive, I am hoping a new type of treatment will suppress and control the cancer, which is very aggressive. I am in a nightmare," she said.
Jade added: "It's awful. The doctors have confirmed the worst. The chemo hasn't been as effective as I hoped.
"They are now trying to work out the best way to attack these new tumours and still have an effect on the original cancer in the cervix.
"All I can do is hope a different combination of drugs and all the expert care will mean the cancer can be kept at bay. That's what I hope and pray will happen," she added.
Emergency meetings have been conducted to develop a new action plan to minimise Goody's suffering and try to shrink the aggressive tumours.
Medics at the Royal Marsden have not given her a percentage survival rating.
They said only that they are now treating her to prolong her life so she can spend as much time as possible with her boys.
A friend said: "It's what we'd all been dreading.
"You think with Jade that she'll always bounce back. You think she's a fighter and that she's going to beat this.
"But she can't seem to win this fight - the cancer is too advanced and the doctors don't hold out much hope.
"It's so unfair. She's a mum of two young kids and they need her. Everyone is in total shock and all that's left to do is pray," the friend added.

So so so sorry to hear the sad news, my opinion of Jade has totally changed in the last year and the bravery and strength she has shown since her diagnosis is inspirational. By going through her cancer in the public eye she has made so many women aware of cervical cancer and that shes only 27 just goes to show it can happen to anyone at any age and its really important to get smear tests fair play to Jade for being brave enough to come out and show this to the world
JadeSo sorry to know the latest news. We named our daughter Cerisa when she was born in 1971 so we feel there is a link between us.My only advice is to immediately stop all conventional medicine and try natural alternatives. You've nothing to lose. I desperately hope that might help.
JADE BE STRONG
"God is hidden, all unseen, you can't ask him what it all means"I wonder why that is. Jade should concentrate on things that are real - her family and her friends - in whatever time she has left.
This is terrible news, although not unexpected. I had hoped and prayed that she would be ok. She is obviously a good mother to her two young sons and they will miss her so much. I keep thinking of the anxiety she is feeling at the thought of them being left without their mum. She really does not want to have to leave them to cope without her. I just hope and pray that their father takes really good care of them and includes Jade's mum in their lives. Hopefully she will leave them in the knowledge that they will be OK. I shall pray for Jade and her family.
