Mumbai Don't take the post-surgery period lightly, this was Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan's advice to Shah Rukh Khan.

The piece of advice was given during a telephonic conversation the two most towering personalities of Bollywood had after Shah Rukh was discharged from hospital on Tuesday evening after a surgery.

"Don't take your post-surgery period lightly and don't get into any kind of activity," Bachchan told Shah Rukh.

The 'Badshah' told Bachchan that he was feeling depressed in the hospital and so he came home.

Shah Rukh underwent the surgery to repair the tear in the main muscle of his left shoulder at the Breach Candy hospital on February 16.

Bachchan had messaged him with wishes for speedy recovery and Shah Rukh called him back to thank.

The two filmstars have worked together in films like ‘Mohabbatein’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam’.

Bachchan wrote on his blog that Shah Rukh invited him to his place.

I fully agree with Mr Bachan that Shahrukh should take as much time as possible for recovery.Ideally 4-6 months is what he should take so that he heals completely. If he heeds the advice of people as well as his own doctors, he will be better off in the long run.I know Shahrukh is eager to get back to work, but 6 months is nothing in someone's life. Shahrukh will look and feel a lot better when he is rested. This is also a good time for shahrukh to cut down on smoking. Spending quality time with his family and friends as well as thinking about new scripts and ideas will be helpful.Good wishes to Shahrukh. May he have a complete recovery.
