EC to review poll preparedness in Bihar

Patna Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalswami and two Election Commissioners Navin Chawla and S Y Quraishi will arrive in Patna on Friday to review the poll preparedness for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

During their visit, the team will have separate meeting with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of the state.

The Commission is scheduled to hold meeting with all DMs and SPs of the state to review the readiness to hold the elections in a free and fair manner.

Besides, the team will also have consultations with the representative of all political parties. Elections to all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will be held in four phases.

Earlier, the Commission was in Lucknow to review poll preparedness in the state.
