Chandigarh England and Wales Cricket Board's security adviser Reg Dickason would be visiting the Punjab Cricket Association stadium in Mohali, the venue for the second Test, on December 8, a senior official said on Thursday.

"I got a call from Chennai that Dickason intends to visit PCA on December 8 and hold a meeting with the (PCA) officials," PCA's Secretary M P Pandove said.

Dickason had on Thursday visited Chennai, which would be holding the first Test between England and India, to assess the security situation and had virtually given his green signal to the venue.

Pandove, who is also the BCCI treasurer, said PCA officials were working round-the-clock to ensure the venue, which was not originally scheduled to host the Test, was ready so that people can enjoy a good game of cricket.

"We (PCA) have intimated to the BCCI that we are ready," said Pandove.

The PCA had last hosted the Test match between India and Australia from October 17 this year.

Meanwhile, PCA's Chief Curator and Chairman of the BCCI's Grounds and Pitches Committee, Daljit Singh said there was still a fortnight to go and exuded his confidence that ground should be completely ready.

"Though Mohali was chosen as a replacement venue, we are working hard so that everything is ready by due date," he said.

With the winter setting in this part of the world, the maximum temperature is settling in the range of 23-25 degrees celsius and the night temperature settles in the range of 6-8 degrees celsius.
