Kolkata, April 8 The Siliguri police found 2.5 kg of explosive material from a house in Mallaguri area of the city on Tuesday. According to the administration, there is a possibility of a link between the hidden explosives and the recent blast that claimed three lives. The explosive material, which has been termed as “plastic variety”, was recovered from a rented house.

“The search was carried out on the basis of a phone call,”said Raj Kanojia, IG, Law and Order. The persons, who were staying in the rented premises, however, managed to escape. Kanojia said that the investigation is on and the police are moving in a positive direction.
