What’s on your iPod?
I have several English and Hindi songs of the 60s, 70s and 80s. However, I usually listen to rock music.

Your DVD pick?
I have about 3,000 DVDs at home, and each of my favourite actors’ films—Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. I also have the DVD of Lakshya and 1942—A Love Story and all my movies. But it is hard to pick a favourite.

Your most favourite romantic scene in a movie?
Most of the scenes from the Hollywood movie A Message in a Bottle.

Which hero you would love to go out on a date with?
Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan as both are interesting conversationalists would talk intellectual stuff.

Which dialogue have you mouthed in front of the mirror the most?
When I was shooting for Lage Raho Munnabhai, I practised this particular dialogue ‘He was my hero’ in front of the mirror several times. It involved a lot emotions and I wanted to get it right.

Who inspired you to become an actor?
I never dreamt of becoming an actor and became one by default. I started getting offers after winning a beauty pageant.

The worst film you ever watched? Why?
It was Borat. It was really disgusting.

Which film you wish you could be part of?
I would like to act in a movie which is not yet being made and that is about the painter Amrita Sher-Gil who died at a very young age. Her life story is very interesting and touching.

What makes you an actor?
My need to explore life. Films complete what life leaves incomplete.
