Your DVD pick.
It’s a never-ending list. I love to watch Gone with the Wind, My Fair Lady, Lawrence of Arabia, How Green Was My Valley. I also love Pakeezah and Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.
Your most favourite romantic scene in a movie.
There are too many and I can’t pinpoint any particular sequence.
Which hero would you love to go on a date with?
Gregory Peck, Johnny Depp and Matt Damon.
Which dialogue have you mouthed the most in front of the mirror?
That was a lengthy one from my first film Sharaarat, where I was supposed to have a tiff with Abhishek Bachchan. I had practised it really hard, standing in front of the mirror, and subsequently perfected it in one go. However, for different reasons it had to be shot again and this time I fumbled. I had to stand in front of the mirror once again and try it out.
Who inspired you to become an actor?
I grew up watching actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kishore Kumar, Govinda and Sridevi. All of them inspired me.
The worst film you ever watched. Why?
There aren’t any as I mostly watch films only after getting to know about them.
Which film do you wish you could be a part of?
Mughal-e-Azam and Chaalbaz. It would have been great to play Madhubala’s and Sridevi’s characters.
What makes you an actor?
The very fact that I have the passion to act and perform makes me one.
Quiz: From which film is this line: “Kabhi kabhi kuch jeetne ke liye kuch haar na parta hai”?
Baazigar. (Correct.)
