The Inspector's father Narottam Sharma said he was sad at the comments made by Singh, who has given a cheque of Rs ten lakh to the family after the officer's death.
"We will not accept the cheque. He is talking rubbish," the senior Sharma said.
Raising questions over the encounter in Jamia Nagar in which the Inspector and two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists were killed, Singh has said Sharma was transferred from Special Cell before the encounter took place.
Singh, who offered a cheque to Sharma's family, had also visited Jamia Nagar and demanded a judicial probe into the encounter.
"My son was not transfered from Special Cell. Who told him? How can a responsible leader like him can say such things?" Sharma asked.
Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat also said Sharma was not transfered from the Special Cell, the elite anti-terror wing of Delhi Police.
Meanwhile, a group of people protested outside Singh's residence at Lodhi Colony here and shouted slogans against the Samajwadi Party leader for his comments on Sharma.

I will request Indian express to establish a charity in Name of Insp Sharma. I will like to contribute and make for their loss of 10 Lakh ( I heard Insp. Shrama son was ill too). I respect Mr. Shrama decision and am proud, there are still people who put honor above money. Please set a charity in line of charity you had for sunami victims. This will not be able to bring their loved one back but can at least help Shrama family to coup financial loss.As per Amar singh is concerned by now whole India knows where his loyalty lies.Less said about Amar singh is better.Hemant.
Worst Communalist: Amar Singh and his party SP who call themshelves secularists are playing communal politics. They are the enemy of country who want to divide and rule. In one of the TV conference eminent lawyer Shri Harish Salve said that after 9/11 there has not been a single terror attack in USA just because the nation spoke in single voice. This fake encounter theory is a case showing that if a lie is repeated again and again, it becomes a truth. It all started with NDTV questioning the encounter and raising doubts and now it is having a tsunami effect. Every media house and the Human Rights(read Terrorist Rights) Group are jumping to the 'me too' bandwagon, with 'fake encounter' theories. Why do they not volunteer their services when police go for such raid the next time and be at the front line. And the less said about Sh.AS, the better. The UPA Govt must try and find the ways of working with Left parties as depending on the opportunist parties like SP, RJD is stupidity. Now the nuke agreement is very clear that the agreement is very much in the national interest and the Left must not be allowed to go with BJP at all. Due to high illiteracy rate in UP he is managing to rig up Muslim votes. This is utter nonsence. Sharma's family has done the right thing. All the simpathy with Sharma family. He has died for this country. Terrorists must be killed mursilessly. Government spends so much to make a cop like Sharma.
