Ranchi A group of girls handed over roses and Valentine cards to the guards at the residence of Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, on the eve of Valentine's day.

The girls, each carrying a rose, a Valentine card with Dhoni's photograph on it and a packet of sweets, gave them over to a guard requesting that they be handed over to the family members of the cricketer.

"The Dhoni Fan Club printed the cards to cheer up the family," club president Jitendra Singh told reporters in Ranchi. The girls were chosen by the club on the eve of Valentine's day, he said.
