New York Fraud-hit outsourcing firm Satyam Computer Services is considering offers from potential suitors, according to a report in the online edition of the 'Wall Street Journal' on Sunday.

The Journal cited Chief Executive A.S. Murty, in written responses to questions, as saying "numerous entities" had expressed interest in the firm, which has been badly battered since allegations of fraudulent accounting last month.

SEBI said on Friday it would relax its takeover rules in certain conditions, a change that Satyam's new government-appointed board had sought, and which could help it find a buyer.
