Greater Noida Authority chairman Lalit Srivastava gave a go-ahead to the hotels’ plan on Friday. Newsline has learnt that land for the projects has been earmarked in five sectors: Chi-Fi extension, City Centre, Delta-I, Alpha-II, and KP-V. Details of allotment schemes are yet to be defined but sources said project works would be allotted following tenders.
Srivastava said, “No project will be delayed due to bureaucratic procedures. The decision on inviting bids and other procedures will be taken within a week.”
Besides the five-star hotels — each to be built on an area between one and five acres — the Authority has also cleared projects for fast-food restaurants and low-budget hotels. This, Srivastava said, was done keeping an eye on tourists from areas in and around Delhi. “The local market cannot be ignored, so we have given clearance for a good number of small hotels and fast-food joints,” he said. The three-star hotels would be built on an area of 1500 square metres each, officials said.
