New Delhi, January 29 A week before the flurry of high-profile golf starts taking the NCR by storm; a dress rehearsal will be run on the country’s domestic tour.

PGTI action will get back to the north of the country from tomorrow with the Rs 30 lakh Solaris Chemtech Open at the Aravalli-flanked Golden Greens resort in Gurgaon. In the absence of Jyoti Randhawa and Shiv Kapur, the star cast will be led by Gaurav Ghei and Rahil Gangjee, who’re yet to claim a yet a domestic title though both have run close.

Current order of merit leader Singapore’s Lam Chih-bing will also be back, as will Asian Tour regular Australian Unho Park.

The 120-strong entry list of the new event on the tour also includes challengers in young guns Gaganjeet Bhullar, who came close to a Asian Tour title in Indonesia in October last year and has been in stunning form, and Himmat Singh Rai, who has impressed this season.

Last year’s tour champion Ashok Kumar has spent some relatively quieter weeks on the road this season, and would want to set the record straight closer home, at a course where he had registered a comfortable victory last season.
