Melbourne, October 6: Retired Test wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist is one among the "returning icon players" in the Australian Cricketers' Association's All-Star team which will take on Australia in a Twenty20 match in Brisbane on November 14.

Gilchrist, who turns 37 on the match day, was voted in to the team by his peers last summer.

The rest of the ACA XI will be announced later.

"Cricket Australia and the ACA are set to announce the introduction of the Emirates All Star Twenty20 match in Brisbane on Friday November 14 prior to the first 3 mobile Test of the Australian summer," Cricketer Australia said in a statement.

"Gilchrist will play as part of the ACA All Stars, a team selected by their peers at the end of last season. They will be up against a full strength KFC Australian XI.

"The teams, including returning icon players, will be announced by both Cricket Australia and the ACA in the coming weeks," the statement read.

The match will be played under lights ahead of the Test match against New Zealand.
