Going down memory lane at GGDSD College-32

Chandigarh, January 27 Nostalgia hung in the air when the pass-outs of GGDSD College, Sector 32, visited their alma mater to participate in a meet organised by the Alumni Association of the college.

Principal Dr A C Vaid, in his welcome address, traced the history of the college and described how it had come a long way on the path of development and excellence, especially in the fields of Commerce, Management and Biosciences.

He said the purpose of such meets was to offer a platform to former students to interact with each and also work hand in hand for the betterment of society at large.

Dr Vaid declared January 26 as the alumni day for the institution and appealed to the students to be part of such meets.

Besides numerous interactive sessions where some of the distinguished alumni relived the times they had spent in the college and the experiences they had shared with their teachers and fellow students, the Alumni Association of the college also honoured a few of those who had won laurels for the institution by making a mark for themselves in their respective fields.

Among those honoured were Justice Rajesh Bindal, judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court; Sushil Dutta, Regional Head, Dainik Bhaskar Group; Ritesh Lakhi from Zee TV; Harjinder Pal Singh, PSEB, Director Sports; Tuteja, General Manager (Finance) HSIDC; Charu Vaid, Regional Manager, Thomas Cook; Bhushan Goyal, GM of Punjab Agro; Rajan, who has been chosen as the Voice of Punjab; Inderjit Virk who worked in the UK as a radio presenter , Rashmi Negi, a freelance anchor and Prem Inder Rattan, an income tax lawyer.

The members of the Alumni Association were also honoured for their efforts.
