Gold Sukh case: Key accused nabbed

New Delhi/Jaipur The absconding managing director of an investment firm, which allegedly duped over one lakh people of around Rs 200 crore has been arrested with the help of Interpol at an airport in New Delhi.

Narendra Singh(52) was arrested along with his wife Saroj Kanwar after he arrived at the airport from Bangkok yesterday, police said.

A red corner notice was issued by the Interpol against the accused.

Singh worked as the MD of Gold Sukh Trade India Private Company, which since 2008 duped over one lakh people across the country in the name of investment in gold.

His wife was also one of the directors.

"On receiving confirm input that Singh is returning India, we sent a team of Jaipur Police to New Delhi and both were arrested on their arrival last night," Jaipur Police Commissioner BL Soni said here today.

The accused were brought to Jaipur today and are being interrogated, Soni said.

Three other accused- Manvendra Singh, Bablu and Mahendra are still out of the grip of police and are believed to be in Thailand.

16 accused, including 3 directors and share holders of the company have already been arrested.
