"The recent terrorist attack in Mumbai was a direct strike at India's economic development. This unpardonable criminal attack only underscores the risk all countries face from economic sabotage, irrespective of whether these acts are authored by states or merely carried out by so-called non-state actors," Mukherjee said inaugurating the Petrotech Conference.
Cautioning that the global hydrocarbon sector would increasingly be even more vulnerable to such threats, he said, "Protecting these assets would not simply be a law and order problem for an individual country, whether an energy exporter or a consumer."
He asked the global community to cooperate to protect the supply routes and hydrocarbon assets to ensure stability of energy supplies.
"Stability of energy supplies, security of energy transportation and creation of new energy infrastructure and its protection has to be a common goal requiring coordination and cooperation of all countries," Mukherjee said.
He asked the global leaders present at the conference to pay attention to the safety and security of oil and gas installations and their transport infrastructure in their deliberations.

If Govt is littil sensetive about the Oil sector Asset first and formost thing they has to ensure to restore the moral of the oil sector PSU empoyee by taking some initaitive like restore the Oil Sector sacked emplyee back to therir job and remove the insult by some news channel as deshdrohi to national pride people sby clerafication from Govt of India in publicly. We don't want any further revision of pay only two demand as mention above. this will improve the moral of oil sector PSU employee and result will show shortly in future other wise it will not only we loss to PSU sector performace but loss to all the public asset.

Dear Sir,It is very nice to see stage actors, who sit in dais called parliment and makes all acting as per their convienient, and they cover their face when they go for public for asking vote. We most cast our vote for these political actors. According to me all NON-STATE actors or outsider it is not difficult to handle for this OUR POLITICAL ACTORS will power is needed. Instead of blameing for each others, better do the work for the nation. Why should we blame others, rather than ourselves. Work for nation without having any personeeal agenda. If media and Govt of India feel that we are already getting higher salaries and do not need pay revision even after twelve years; then please reduce our existing salaries. The Government can easily do this with the help of ESMA and the Army.
If Government cannot protect then why they are seating the office. If they are incompetant then they should instead of warning should get lost.
Our government sponsored Media has already declared OIL PSU employees as DESHDORHI, now whom to believe? these politicians, IAS lobby or hardworking employees? who has always supported the economy of this country during rough patches when international crude oil prices were ranging between 130 to 150 USD. So it’s a humble request to media that just to create sensation they should not pass irresponsible judgments.
