Seven other accused were acquitted by the court. One accused died during the course of the trial which was shifted to Mumbai from Gujarat.
The quantum of sentence will be pronounced on Monday.
Bilkis, who was six months pregnant, was gang-raped during the communal violence that erupted in Gujarat after a coach of Sabarmati Express carrying Ramsevaks from Ayodhya was set on fire on February 27, 2002.
Bilkis was also a prime witness to the murder and rape of members of her family and community during the riots.

Any rape in itself is bad enough but this case was more than even most awful crime. It was the rape of every possible decent value of human society. It will remain a scar of shame on the face of our nation for centuries to come. Although physical monsters who indulged in this ghastly act against a daughter of India have been found guilty, the goons of political world like BJP and their evil mad monster Modi are still free. They are the real cause; sadly they are still in power. Shame on those who vote for people like that. How will you be able with this awful atrocity on your conscience?
Kudos to Mumbai court for bringing the fiends to justice, they should be given death penalty as killing 14 people is nothing but mass murder. The only question remain is what about the main culprit Modi and his henchmen from RSS/VHP/Bajrang Dal/BJP they are the one who deserve main blame but thanks to fanatics GUJJUS one of the main culprit is reelected by projecting himself mass murdered and person who created wealth. The bigger credit goes to NRI Gujjus who are sitting is USA and funding hatred from their channels in India, when will Govt stop this menace just like Govt took step to curb terror financing, NRI Gujjus should be also put under the same scanner as TERROR is TERROR it has no religions.Shame on Center to be afraid of taking these steps, they should put all the culprits in jail and give them a fair trial, if someone objects specially NRI Gujjus deport them...
Narendra Modi is a very capable chief minister. He is the best for development. He also has got support of almost 2/3rd majority. Great. But is he qualified to rule Arsha Bhartha? Did he not rape the soul of India our mother? Those "Hindus" who support and worship Modi should do so only if they are prepared to justify a rapist who raped his own mother and sister and he proved his 'Manliness'. Shame on you Modi! Shame on you Gujarath! My tears for my Mother India.

In India, police station is the epicenter of crime and judiciary is the epicenter of corruption. Justice should not be begged but should be awarded. Maintaining law and order and providing quick justice is the prime duty of a government. In a typical third world country, government does everything (running trains, buses, banks, planes, shops, hotels, schools, colleges and what not) except what it is supposed to do. Ineffectiveness, mistrust and no confidence on governance and judiciary force public to take law and order in their hands and when public takes law and order in their hands, they take it wildly and then we see such collateral damages. Government of last 50 years at the center and judiciary as a whole is the prime culprit of this incident. Any incident or judgement is valid in space and time coordinates, if your judgement takes time -> infinity (and infinite money too), then it makes no sense. If government does not hang Afzal even after judgement of supreme court then its conjecture is very wide. Do you think public trust you that you are going to do justice with them? Of course not and then what you see is the judgement of the public, of course not so precise and of course they are not responsible. Punishing these individuals is just myopic approach. Judiciary and government of last 50 years at the center deserve bigger punishment, but who will judge them?
Why did they do this?
