Kolkata, August 05 The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed the police to make proper security arrangements at the retail outlets of Keventers Fresh.

Justice Nadira Patheria also asked the police to deploy police pickets near the outlets, if the situation so demanded.

Counsel of Keventers Fresh Aninda Mitra today moved a petition in the High Court seeking protection against possible violence at the company’s three outlets in Swabhumi, Rajarhat and Budge Budge.

Keventers Fresh is selling imported fruits from its own outlets at the three Reliance Fresh stores opened on Friday.

Mitra said the company believed that local residents might organise agitation demanding closure of the outlets.
