The Delhi High Court on Friday shot down the plea of a minor girl to live with her juvenile lover and gave her custody to her parents. Justice Mukta Gupta dismissed the plea of the girl that she wanted to live with the boy as she was being allegedly tortured by the parents after being suspended from the school in November last year. The girl, a Class IX student of a Paschim Vihar private school, had moved court to seek its approval to remain with her boyfriend, a Class XI student from the same institution. The boy’s parents, present in the court, had also expressed their desire to take custody of the girl. That plea was also rejected by Justice Gupta.
