The Punjab offie, who is playing his 72nd Test, is behind just-retired Anil Kumble (619 from 132 Tests) and Kapil Dev (434 from 131 Tests).
He is only the fifth spinner to join the 300-wicket club after Muttiah Muralitharan (756), Shane Warne (708), Kumble and Lance Gibbs (309) and second Indian spinner after Kumble.
By claiming the wicket of Ponting, whom he has dismissed for the 10th time so far, Harbhajan has claimed his 200th wicket on India soil.
The feisty off-spinner, who made his Test debut against Australia in Bangalore in March 1998, has 195 ODI wickets to his kitty from 175 matches.

Congratulations ,Bhaji you are the man to watch now,as for you life starts after 300 wickets. Now being the most admired spinner on the playing side you will be more watched than before, along comes the critics and the apprications. As they say when the going gets tough, the tough keeps going. All the best for a sure good future.
india should recognise sehwag as a full time spinner and take 3 pacers. IF 3 PACERS ARE NOT SELECTED, ISHANT SHARMA WILL BE OVERBOWLED AND HE WILL GRADUALLY FADE OUT.------we have many pacers in the reserve bench some of them quite good like sreesanth-so why not use them? even balaji may be encouraged.[moreover there are munaf, rp, parvin, manpreet, irfan, ] 3 SPINNERS ARE A LUXURY UNLESS ALL 3 ARE WORLD CLASS.--against england SREESANTH MUST BE REACLLED. as the third pacer[with munaf as back up]
Congrats , Harbhajan . You have done very well against all odds.
please i to share my mind with you
