The decision was taken at a meeting of the state-level committee of Town and Country Planning Department presided over by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is also the chairman of the committee. In the meeting, Draft Development Plan Sampla Urban Complex, 2021, and Draft Development Plan, 2021, of Sohna were also approved.
Hooda said Sampla Urban Complex would accommodate about three lakh population. Out of 7,180 hectares, 1070 hectares will be used for bio-science city, 550 hectares for medi city and 223 hectares for cyber city.
He said 40 sectors would be developed in the new Sampla Urban Complex, of which 19 sectors would be residential, eight sectors each would be reserved for industrial as well as institutional, one sector each for commercial , transportation and communication, and three sectors for open space.
The Chief Minister said that a global corridor was being developed and after the construction of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, Sampla and adjoining areas falling in Rohtak and Jhajjar districts would get special boost in the developmental process.
