Melbourne After retiring from international cricket, former Australian opener Matthew Hayden intends to work with the government on an aboriginal cricket programme.

The 37-year-old former opener has already held a discussion with the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd on the programme, who called him up after news got out that Hayden was stepping down from cricket.

A week before his retirement, on the penultimate day of the Sydney Test, the Prime Minister was seen in conversation with Hayden in the Australian dressing room.

"I want to be part of what I think can happen soon, and that is for the first indigenous Australian to wear the baggy green," the Queensland cricketer was quoted as saying by The 'Australian'.

Hayden's representative and Cricket Australia (CA) had a meeting with Indigenous Affairs Minister Jenny Macklin on Wednesday, the report said, adding things were progressing quickly since the cricketer had met the Minister late last year.

Racist Hayden working for aboriginees !!! Come on, give me a break. He should start off by removing the "Racist and Political" mindset that he carries. He could begin this by apologizing to Bhajji.
