'The Imaginarium of doctor Parnassus', a experimental time travel movie starring Ledger alongside Johnny Depp, is facing a limited US release as bosses struggle to land a deal with major distributors, the ‘Contactmusic’ reported.

Executives have been searching for distributes for the last six months in US but have failed to find a company to release the experimental movie, which features Ledger as a travelling magician.

American audiences may not have easy access to the independent project as a result of the marketing difficulties.

Ledger died before he could complete the film and the script was changed so that his role could be taken up by Depp while retaining the dead actor's original shots.
