Hero MotoCorp Q3 net up 42.89 pc

New Delhi The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today said its net profit rose by 42.89 per cent to Rs 613.03 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, vis-a-vis the same period last fiscal.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 429 crore for the same period last financial year, Hero MotoCorp said in a filing to the BSE.

Total income of the company rose to Rs 6,107.73 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, from Rs 5,223.69 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp were quoted at Rs 1,900.75 on the BSE at the end of today's trade, up 2.35 per cent from their previous close.
