Washington, November 22: New York Senator Hillary Clinton has accepted an offer from President-elect Barack Obama to become US secretary of state, the ‘New York Times’ said on Friday, quoting two Clinton associates.

"She's ready," one of the sources told the newspaper, which said Clinton came to her decision after additional discussions with Obama about the nature of her role as the top US diplomat and his plans for foreign policy.

Democratic Party sources have said Clinton was on track to be nominated, with an official announcement expected after the November 27 Thanksgiving holiday.

If Sen. Hillary Clinton becomes the next U.S. secretary of state, she has a fan in European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana.

Speaking to reporters in Washington on Friday, Solana said he had known Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, for a long time and the New York senator would be well received in Europe if she became the top U.S. diplomat.

"I think it would be very well taken if that is the case, at the end of the day," said Solana when asked how he thought European diplomats would react if President-elect Barack Obama chose her to head the State Department.

Bullish American Policy in Asia by pasadaandava on 22 Nov 2008

No matter who sits as the Foreign Minister USA, he/she must toe the line or ready to be pushed over by the Zionist corporations, because the American power is a powerless slave to the Zionists and their associates. America needs an external enemy all the time either a created enemy like Al-Qaeda or a half imaginary one like communism. America has about 700 military bases in over 100 countries, why the hell they have that many, because they got to bully the world, they look for soft targets to keep up the momentum, right now a poor third world country to be victimized is Afghanistan ( good luck Mrs. Clinton , unfortunately but immorally India is secretly helping Americans to try to fulfill their vicious desire in Afghanistan. Afghans may be poor, but in them we have one of the best fighting forces in the world, and the American-Zionist-Indian conspiracy in Afghanistan is sure to fail and will lead to humiliation as the brutal Russians had about 20 years ago.
