Ahmadabad, August 22 The Rakhial police have arrested the owner of the house in which Yunus Mansuri, an accused in the Ahmedabad blasts, lived as a tenant.

The house owner, Shakil Ahmed Ansari (55), a resident of Marwadi ni Chali in Bapunagar, was arrested under the provisions of Indian Penal Code.

"The police commissioner had made it compulsory for all the house owners to register the name of their tenants before renting out their properties. Still, Ansari failed to follow the notification. So, he has been arrested," said a police officer.

Yunus Mansuri was living at the Ajit Mill Society near the Ajit Mill Cross Roads in the Bapunagar area.

Apparently, Ansari has told the police that he rented out the house to Mansuri on the recommendation of the latter's father-in-law who lives in the same society.
