Howrah murder: Brother of trader held

Kolkata, March 30 The Howrah district police have arrested the brother of slain businessman Sunil Kumar Shaw in connection with his murder on Saturday night.

Police said that Rajesh Kumar Shaw, elder brother of the deceased, was held in Howrah and was produced in court on Sunday.

The victim’s body had been found in the septic tank of an abandoned building in Ghusuri, Howrah.

According to the postmortem report, Sunil succumbed to neck wounds. The scrap iron trader had differences with Rajesh over property issues. Rajesh also used to harass Sunil’s wife Maya, said police. They added that at least four persons were involved in the murder. Sources said that Shaw did not get along with the other members of the family and used to live separately in Naihati, Hooghly.
