New Delhi In a move that will brighten BJP president Rajnath Singh's chances of winning from the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency, hundreds of Muslim leaders from the district joined the party.

The leaders also vowed to work to ensure the victory of the saffron party in the ensuing polls.

"We have been betrayed by the Congress for over half a century. We have joined BJP with a hope for better future. We all will work towards victory of the party in the Lok Sabha polls," Raja Matin Nuri, leading the group, told reporters here in Singh's presence.

Addressing the gathering, Singh promised to work towards creating a "just society" with opportunity and progress for all if the party is voted to power in the leadership of L K Advani.

"Sachar committee has revealed the double standards adopted by Congress in its five decades of rule. The six year NDA rule is there for everyone to see. NDA in power under Advani would work for a society with justice for all," Singh said.

The function was also attended by party's minority cell chief Shahnawaz Hussain.

united india irrespective of religion by susanta patnaik on 08 Jul 2011

Political parties are taking their own benefit by struggling between Hindu, Muslim and christians, however we should not give chance to them and treat ourselves very much respectfully. I am a Hindu, worship as per my religion, however dont neglect to any religion. Any body can go as per his religion but should not neglect any other religion. We should not give the chance to make the vote bank as per religion. We should not divide the nation as per religion. We are the united India people. Unit can tackle any situation. If we unite our selves and think about our country, then every one can fear to India.

muslims should go where they are valued by iqbal khan on 29 Dec 2010

all of us carry same genetic code i.e. indian, If one converts to another faith due to some reasons it does not change one's bloodgroup. all the muslims in india are indians first and then anything else. one of us were imported from egypt. and even if so my loyalties to the land where I belong to.

Good sign. And it was a good sign too, when the Oscar Award Winner, Rasool Pookkutty mentioned of the indian culture and the silent culture of 'Om'. Hindus should en-masse welcome this muslim brothers.
