'I haven't divorced Manyata yet'

Mumbai, February 16: Manyata lands in new muddle, jail inmate claims to be husband

A writer, lodged in a Mumbai jail, has moved the court claiming that he is Manyata's husband since he has still not divorced her.

Mehraj Shaikh, who claims to be Manyata's husband filed an application against Dutt and her in a Mumbai court on Friday, alleging that they have violated the Muslim marriage norms.

Shaikh is currently lodged at the Arthur Road jail in connection with charges of sending vulgar SMSs and threatening Bollywood personalities for extortion.

He moved the application praying for legal proceedings against Dutt and Manyata, stating that he had married Manyata on April 5, 2003 and has a son from her who is presently staying with the latter's mother.

The application is likely to be heard on Saturday.

Shaikh has also claimed in the application that he and Manyata had started living separately, but till now, neither of them had sought ‘talak’.

    Reddit

    Reddit allows users to submit news articles and other online content to the site. Users also give articles a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Reddit then uses those votes to build a user profile and to find articles to recommend to you. Users can also submit comments on items posted to the site.

This criminal must be made aware that talak only applies under the jurisdictaion of the barbaric Sharia law,India is not Pakistan,where Civil uniform code applies.We know where you are coming from,to extort money from this gun carrier and convict out of jail.Sharia Law must not be implemented in India, it is inhuman.
