Ahmedabad Chaos, the cultural festival of Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) kicked off on Thursday with usual pomp.

Contrary to the experiences of the organising team of prior events like the ‘Entrepreneurship Meet’ and Confluence 2008, the core team of Chaos saw an increase in the number of sponsors. There were several first time sponsors as well like Vibrant Gujarat, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Kingfisher and Force India.

Pratik Ved, Secretary of the Media Cell said: “Although Chaos has not been left untouched by the market downturn, we did find a sizeable number of sponsors. It wasn’t exceptionally difficult to convince sponsors. Chaos will also have an increased number of events this year.”

The four-day celebration, meant to capture the spirit of youth, will have an equivalent dose of musicals and events thrown in.

Chaos has earned a brand value over the last 12 years; and with over 16 official sponsors taking care of all aspects, it seems to be roaring this time.
