IPL auction by Mike Vig on 07 Feb 2009

This exercise looked such a farce. The Bollywood babes bidding there pretended as if they marvel in business acumen. The bidding on Mortaza was more of a comedy than a business deal. The auctioneer had finished his starting bid at $50,000 because no one was bidding on him when suddenly the Kolkata guys woke up to raise it by $10k. This probably gave the Bollywood babe jitters. The next hour or so made no logic how you spend your money on whom. The girls just wanted to be in news as if they were buying boys for their pleasure. From none bidding on Mortaza at $50k and then to finish at $600k makes no business sense. No wonder the real businessmen in that crowd just watched.Of course this gimmick will make BCCI even richer but the bidders looked losers from the start. Cricket and facilities still suffer in India. Politics not talent have the last word.

NONSENSE APPROACH by S Thulasidharan on 06 Feb 2009

We feel pity on our Governments inability in regularising and advising these bigwigs to spend their money in more meaningful way for the betterment of the society rather than throwing it in the name of sports to make fast money. Why cant the Government approach private bigwigs with good better proposals in terms of BOP system which will generate employment and build quality infrastructures around the country. If we talk about sportsman ship this money can be contributed to developing skills and exploring talents around the country by building necessary infrastructure and training facilities to compete in the global arena of sports. But then when the Government itself is hand in gloves with these money magnates in allowing such events when the people are crying for employment. GOD HELP INDIANS. NO WONDER WHY INDIA STANDS AT NUMBER ONE POSITION IN ILLEGAL SWISS BANK DEPOSITS !

IPL Season by Murali Krishna on 06 Feb 2009

IPL Season is really a big entertainment for summer enjoying people. During this period most of the pupil among school and college should be focus on IPL matches and discussion and debating is going on through their entire vacation period. So that, most of unnecessary and defamatory works is avoided. During this time, Parents saves more money and time by avoiding vacation tour and any other entertainments for their children. Just they simply sit their homes and enjoying all the matches without reckoning some particular games over night. For parents and working people will left all their tensions and crispy mind and enjoying this time peacefully and contentiously. Really I heartily welcome this game. Thanks to Mr. Lalith Modi

IPL SEASON by hpraj on 06 Feb 2009

I think that people are totally ignorant that the sponsors of the event are going to increase the prices of their products and ultimately comman man has to bear the expenses indirectly. Mr. Lalit Modi is not spending even a single paise from his pocket but behaves like Don and threatens cricketors all over the world. Already his parent body RCA is up in arms against him and like all head weight persons he will meet his waterloo. Before praising the league, just think what price people may have to pay. They even want entertainment tax waiver which our useless governments are offering. God also may not be able to save the people of this country.
