Impressive victories for Garodia ICSE

Mumbai, January 21 Ghatkopar’s P.G.Garodia opened their campaign with two good wins in group C of boys under-14 section of the MSSA- BPL Mobile Inter-School handball tournament, played at Schools Sports Centre, Azad Maidan, here on Monday. Garodia first routed Yashodham (Goregaon) 9-4 after leading 4-1 at the half time. They followed it by another impressive 7-4 win over Jamnabai Narsee B (Juhu).

However, Jamnabai Narsee’s A team virtually had a cakewalk over their rivals in group D matches. First they thrashed Gokhuldham 9-0 and scored an identical win over Veer Bhagat Singh.

Results: BOYS: Group A: St. Joseph’s (Wadala) bt Chembur English 11-1; Dr. Radhakrishnan (Borivli) dew with Chembur English 3-3. Group B: IES Manik (Bandra) bt Dr. Radhakrishnan (Malady) 10-1; Bombay Cambridge (Andheri) bt Lokhandwala (Kandi) 12-0; Pawar Public bt Dr. S.Radhakrishnan (Malady) 5-4; IES Manik bt Bombay Cambridge (Andheri) 10-4; Pawar Public bt Lokhandwala (Kandi) 11-2.

Group C: P.G.Garodia (Ghatkopar) bt Yashodham (Goregaon) 9-4; P.G.Garodia (Ghatkopar) bt Jamnabai Narsee B (Juhu) 7-4; Bombay Cambridge (Andheri) bt IES Raja Shivaji 5-2; Jamnabai Narsee B (Juhu) bt Raja Shivaji 6-4; Group D: Veer Bhagat Singh (Malady) bt Gokuldham (Goregaon) 5-1; Jamnabai Narsee A (Juhu) bt Gokuldham (Goregaon) 9-0; Jamnabai Narsee A (Juhu) bt Veer Bhagat Singh 9-0.
