In Koregaon Park, two European tourists drugged and looted

Pune, January 19 Two European tourists were drugged and looted by a girl and her accomplice at Popular Heights in Koregaon Park early Friday morning. The victims were identified as G B Plancko and his girlfriend Natasha Stevanovik, both natives of Slovinia. Plancko has lodged a complaint with the Bundgarden police.

According to the police, the European couple came to Pune on January 9. They were residing at Popular Heights at Koregaon Park. On Thursday evening, they had gone to the Osho Ashram for offering prayers. When they were walking back to their residence, a girl named Nisha and her accomplice approached them as mehendi artists.

Neha said she would apply mehendi on Natasha's legs. So Natasha asked her to come to their room at Popular Heights. However, when they reached the room around 12.45 am, Neha and her accomplice offered them liquor and cigarettes containing strong dose of sedatives.

Moments later, Plancko and Natasha lost consciousness. When they woke up after 12 hours, their laptop worth Rs 55,000 and ATM cards were found missing. Police sub-inspector M B Suryawanshi is investigating.

Meanwhile, Sanjaykumar Gupta (30) of Katraj was drugged and robbed by a co-passenger in a MSRTC bus.

According to the police, Gupta is a marketing manager in a private company. He had gone to Kolhapur for some personal work. While coming back on January 5, his co-passenger in the Kolhapur-Borivli MSRTC bus offered him a buiscuit containing sedatives. Gupta had the biscuit and lost his consciousness.
