Brisbane Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat in the tri-series ODI against India on Sunday.

Australia have made one change to the squad. Pacer Clint McKay is out with an illness, making way for Ben Hilfenhaus in the playing XI.

For India, opener Virender Sehwag's problematic back continues to keep him out while pacer Zaheer Khan comes in for off-spinner R Ashwin.

India are currently leading the table with 10 points from four matches. Australia have nine from four while Sri Lanka has seven from as many games.

Teams:

India: MS Dhoni (c), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Irfan Pathan, Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar, and Zaheer Khan

Australia: Ricky Ponting (c), Matthew Wade, David Warner, Michael Hussey, Peter Forrest, David Hussey, Dan Christian, Brett Lee, Ben Hilfenhaus, Xavier Doherty and Mitchell Starc.

Umpires: Brent Bowden (NZ) and Steve Davis (Aus)
