The police, though, are not sure about the person’s identity since the two survivors, Satyajit Singh and Gaurav Sabhiki, are still not in a position to give statements. Police officials today visited the hospitals to take their statements but doctors said the victims are not in a condition to speak. The police, thus, are yet to confirm who was behind the wheel.
A team of police officials and experts today inspected the Skoda Laura car they were in when the crash occurred late Saturday night. “The car’s brakes were okay,” a senior police officer who was part of the inspection team said. “It was just being driven very fast.”
The car belonged to Satyajit’s father Amarjeet Singh.
Sneha Kapoor, 21, and Anirudh Rawat, 22, who were in the backseat, had died in the crash.
On Monday, police officials also took blood sample of Satyajit. He is admitted in Apollo Hospital and is said to be out of danger. Gaurav is still serious, admitted in Noida’s Bhardwaj Hospital.
The police had registered a case of causing death due to negligence against unknown persons.
