Pune, November 20: Forecast valid until the morning of November 22. Rain/Thundershowers are likely at many places in East: Isolated places in coastal Orissa; mainly dry in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, interior Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar.

North: A few places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir; isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan; mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Central: A few places in Madhya Pradesh; isolated places in Vidarbha, Chattisgarh.

Peninsula: Many places in south Tamil Nadu, Kerala; a few places in Rayalaseema, north Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka; isolated places in Gujarat region, Maharashtra and Goa state, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka; mainly dry in Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana, north interior Karnataka.

Islands: Many places in Lakshadeep, a few places in Andaman and Nicobar.

Temperatures recorded in four meteropolitan centers were:

Kolkata Max 30 (+1) dc/Min 20 (+2) dc

New Delhi Max 30 (+2) dc/Min 16 (+5) dc

Chennai Max 32 (+3) dc/Min 26 (+4) dc

Mumbai Max 33 (+1) dc/Min 24 (+1) dc

The trough of low at sea level over southeast Bay of Bengal persists. The cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 kms a.s.l. over southwest Bay of Bengal off south Tamil Nadu - Sri Lanka coasts persists. The cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 kms a.s.l. over Punjab and neighbourhood persists. The western disturbance as an upper air system extending upto 3.6 kms a.s.l. over north Pakistan and neighbourhood persists. above two systems are likely to move eastnortheastwards.

The cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 kms a.s.l. over east central Arabian sea and adjoinig southeast Arabian sea off Karnataka-Goa coasts has become less marked. The western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu and Kashmir has moved away northeastwards.
