India drop Ganguly for Australia tri series

Droping Sourav ganguly means, INDIA surely going to loose all matches against australia unless there is a match fixing scenario, you are dropping the most successfull inidan opener after sachin. Dhoni will regret his decission soon.

HEY U DHONI, U HAVE DONE GOOD JOB, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER JOB IF U HAVE ALL OTHER PLAYERS ALSO< AND PLAY 1:11 MATCH. Do u have common sense in not selecting DADA in the team, can u evr do 10.0000 runs in ur life and take 100 wickets. I think u are not the best captain for INDIA, u are taking into wrong direction. May be once Junior players might have played well, but this is no 20-20 to play for 2 hours and returns to beds,U need to stay at crease and stick to wickets and put up the partnerships, except Ganugly no other Indian Batsman can join with Sachin for opening. GOD ONLY SHOULD HELP INDIAN CRICKET....

It is the prarogative of the selection committe to include or not the suitable cricketers for the Team India. Therefore, unnecessary uproar in this regard is unwarranted. The exclusion of Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman from the Team India is well justified, keeping in view the overall fitness of the team. As rightly judged, there is an urgent need to groom the youngsters for the Team India, because taking into account the age factor, the young cricketers are going to produce results in the long run. Sachin Tandulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, kumble and Laxman all having had long innings and now in their late thirties should retire from the cricket on their own, making room for the young cricketers to take their rightful place. Keeping personal interests and selfish outlook aside, the interest and the prestige of the country should be the uppermost in the mind of all. sportspersons.

BCCI it self ivolved with betting or match fixing, whatever it is called, that's why they droped Ganguly.

If Ganguly is not eligible for a berth in the oneday format,the same is true for Mr Dhoni.See his batting performance down under in the last 3 tests!and that will give a crystal clear picture.Arjuna Ranatunga was quite apt when he said "Indians should know how to respect it's heroes".Mr Dhoni should know what is his achilles heel and try to rectify that.

I strongly feel that this current bunch jokers in the selection committee can do no good than harm Indian team. We need to overhaul the selection committee. Without naming any particular selectors, see their CV and recollect their old days performances when we saw them in TV. They were inept and calaous during their days in the field. Examine top to bottom of Indian Cricket Board- all are here with one common goal in mind-self development and upgradation of their status. Fielding can only be 15-20% of the total contribution. We have seen what Dhoni can do behind wickets. He is lucky and needs to prove. Any one bad performance from Saurav is treated as ploy to axe him from the team. We had a set opeing pair with Saurav and Sachin. we did not develop a proper opening pair for one day and for that matter in test. This is highly parocial act from selectors and captain Dhone. Dhoni has to prove that he is good bat also. India experiments too much and too fasts. Eastern Zone selector Ranjib Biswal is rubbish and he is doing nothing for East Zone.

I am somewhat glad that the selectors have a bold step in bringing in youth over experience. But I have some reservations. It is too drastic to take out all the seniors like Laxman, Dravid and Ganguly at one time. I would have rather seen Laxman on the team as the Aussies seem to fear and respect his batting. He has proved it on form. Also in one dayers you need batsman like Laxman and Dravid on the team in case of a collapse. They both can stick on end even though they play slower than needed for one dayers. I would have also like to see the selectors select S. Badrinath over Gambhir. I think Gambhir and Sehwag are of same type and we can't affor to have both of them on the team. They most often cause a collapse when they don't click in the beginning. You need player like Laxman or Dravid in batting order 1 or 2 to stop any bad starts by India. With this team I don't see anybody that can hold an end in crisis situation. One must foolish to think that Dhoni, Yuvraj, Raina, Gambhir, Uthappa or Rohit Sharma to hold an end in a critical situation. I think this team will lose the series but the youth will gain experience.

I can understand about dropping Dravid but not Ganguli as he is the only one playing consistently if not big after his return. Also there was not urgency as fourth match is still to be played. I think not only team but selectors are also having that kind of mindset that we can not win the match against Aussies in Australia except once in a while. If you select any kind of team, atleast let them play instead of playing parallel cricket off the field. Lets say to selectors - You are Fireeeeedddddddd. Not only team lets have young selectors also.

Dhoni is at it again. After snatching cpataincy from UV from under his nose, this small town guy is now baying for dada's blood. No doubt many newspapers were "almost certain" that "Dhoni wud be the test capatain too". shame on dhoni and selectors. I can give in writing that India will loose 4th test match. It is disgusting.

very bad dhoni--do not play politics--remember tht ganguly is a better player then u and has done a lot for his country and he is in good form.learn to respect players who have played better and are playing better then u.he shld be there in the squad.looks like u r helping the austrailians 2 win the series-be carefull if u lose this series -u will go away also.

this is heights of foolishness by the selectors its not about the age but the winning spirit that matters and without players like saurav n dravid the binding force will be lost

WHAT WAS THE HURRY IN ANNOUNCING THE TEAM?BCCI HAS GIFTED 4TH TEST TO KANGUS.LOOKS LIKE THERE IS SOME UNDERSTANDING WITH NEW PLAYERS IN MONEY MATTER.

How stupid to announce the team when there is another test match is on and three star batsmen is dropped out.What kind of motivation these players will have. Also what is the logic- Saurav and Dravid do play a real cricket and against Australia they will come so handy. We need to select the team based on merit or not on some vague - for future slogan. Why not select for test these guys. How many runs Yuvaraj scored in test. Selectors and especially Vengsarkar has some tiff with seniors from Non- Maharashtra states and may be because he had to retire at their age in his career. Let us not call this as India team for one day internations. It is MarathiVengsarkar-XI. So if this team loses we as Indians do not have to feel bad. So let us recognise this team

This is bad. By taking a relatively inexperienced lot for the ODIs, the selectors are commiting harakiri. Against the Aussies you need experienced players like Dravid

The bigest mistake wa what a cheating bye this selectiors reason fielding, feel to laugh why u know how they kept Tendulkar inside because he is marati manush!!!! and others Dravid and Ganguly out ha ha ha shame on u selectiors.

What is the message we are sending to the nation ? Performance does not count, but who you know in India counts. Steve W had said, 'when we see Ganguly in the team we know it is a match ON'. Australia must be rejoicing inside.

This Indian team has only one batsman-Tendu. All others are base ball hitters
