India in Portugal: First match against Gouevia Select

New Delhi, July 4: India will play their first practice match in its two-week training-cum-exposure tour to Portugal against Gouveia Select in the mountain city of Gouveia on Sunday.

The 27-member Indian team, which arrived in Portugal on Thursday in their second visit to the Iberian country in less than a year, will train in the mountain city of Gouveia till Monday, according to information received in New Delhi on Friday.

In July 2007, Indian team trained for two weeks in Portugal before winning their maiden Nehru Cup title at home.

This time they will play three practice matches before returning home on July 16.

After the game, Gouveia city Mayor will host a dinner for the Indian team in the presence of India's ambassador to Portugal.
